Rowan is base on his family's Bambra Agroforestry Farm in Southern Victoria where he is busy growing, harvesting and milling timber. He does some work in his local community with the local Otway Agroforestry Network and travels far and wide to help deliver the Master TreeGrower courses.

Since 1985 Rowan has written many books, papers and articles about growing trees. His latest is "Heartwood - the art and science of growing trees for conservation and profit". See: "Heartwood"
